J.A.T.A was formed in 1999 by singer Tony DeRienzo and guitarist/bassist Anthony Tangredi. The two founders sought to assemble some of the best and most experienced musicians to bring their brand of metal to life. In their search they contacted guitarist Joe Tangredi, and drummer Alan Keeping whom they had both worked with in former bands. Once the lineup was solidified writing came easy and they quickly put together a set of exceptional original songs. The music exudes a deep emotional perspective with powerful soulful vocals, a tight, pounding bass and drum section, as well as incredible guitar work reminiscent of the great guitarists of the past.
